About Us
Many voices, one shared sound.
The City Choir was founded in August 2023 by Shallom Matthew with a vision to create a musical community where singers could learn, grow and develop through collaborative performance.
The ensemble has become recognised for its innovative interpretation of traditional sacred music and contemporary gospel repertoire. Its music blends African musical heritage with artistic creativity, discipline and community.
Through concerts, digital performances, recordings and collaborations, The City Choir continues to develop its identity within Nigeria's choral music landscape.
